10 Wrestlers Neville Must Face After Leaving WWE

3. Zack Sabre Jr.

No other wrestler has been as consistently excellent as Zack Sabre Jr. this year.

The current EVOLVE, RevPro British Heavyweight, and WCPW Internet Champion has taken his game to the next level, putting on showcase performances for a vast array of companies around the world. His NJPW work often suffers from over-booked interferences, but for the most part, ZSJ's quality floor is extremely high, and recent performances against the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Rey Fenix, and Michael Elgin mark him as the world's finest technical wrestler.

Neville is a fine grappler himself, but he'd be meeting a true specialist in Sabre, who rarely steps out of his 'submissions and strikes' comfort zone. The match would likely see the Geordie struggle on the mat, before opening up with his considerable speed and power advantage, making for some outstanding exchanges. We'd rather this one took place away from New Japan, though: nobody needs those Suzuki-gun interferences spoiling another great bout.

Zack and Neville last wrestled in 2011, when the latter was already well-established on the indies, but ZSJ was still rising to prominence. A 2017 or 2018 rematch would be a much bigger deal, regardless of location.
