10 Wrestlers Scarier Than The Fiend
8. Bruiser Brody
A gigantic Charles Manson who conducted his own business, Bruiser Brody was such a terrifying presence that he created a mythology around himself that has survived posthumously.
A totally convincing, blood-letting brawler, Brody terrified Japanese fans in his legendary series with Abdullah The Butcher. Their matches barely made it to the ring; instead, they swarmed the stands and the bleachers, throttling and braying one another all the way, smearing concrete with claret in wild, unhinged spectacles that at once repulsed and magnetised entire audiences.
Brody wasn't a top-tier worker in a land enamoured of them, but got over by working a style that barely felt worked; his bulging eyes and erratic, deceptively careless movement created an impression of a volatile madman in a fight to the death.
The man was constantly soaked in blood, and he weaponised his terror to such an extent that it extended from the arena to backstage; promoters were fearful of what he'd do to towns, were he to succumb to his inscrutable whims, and in an infamous scene, a young, green Lex Luger up and scrambled out of a steel cage, so frightened at the sight of this immovable, pissed-off brick sh*thouse.
