10 Wrestlers Struggling To Prove Their Worth To WWE

4. Sasha Banks

Rumour has it that Vince McMahon has sworn off Sasha Banks - that he remains unconvinced about her durability, as well as the searing pace at which he perceives her to work.

The notoriously capricious McMahon reportedly swears off performers with some frequency, so much so that this probably breeds Internet clicks more than it harkens a truth - but the on-off main roster career arc of The Boss makes coherent this on-off gossip. Banks, ultimately, was used as foil to both reinforce Charlotte's portrayal as the Queen Bee of PPV and, in doing so, pad out the 2016 PPV calendar. Since then, Banks has only briefly flirted with the title picture - i.e. the only Women's segments on RAW of any significant note. WWE has regressed in the depiction of women in the last year or so, preferring the Diva acting chops of Alexa Bliss to the bareback, pure wrestling thrill of the Four Horsewomen - and if Banks' poorly-acted retirement fake-out speech confirmed anything, it's that Banks doesn't meet that particular remit.

Put simply: if WWE saw the worth in Banks that her admirers do, they would not book her to lose, in two and a half minutes no less, to Absolution drone Sonya Deville.
