10 Wrestlers That Are Too Good For The Spot They're Currently In
3. Drew Gulak
Drew Gulak has had a strange 2020. He had a great story with Daniel Bryan that lasted through Elimination Chamber and since then he completely fell down the card. There were rumours he was leaving for AEW and now he has been slotted into the 24/7 title picture... which is essentially the kiss of death for most wrestlers.
Gulak is an incredible talent. His PowerPoint gimmick was hilarious, his savage heel run was brutal and his time down in NXT is highly underrated, specifically, his match with Kushida. It was a very stop/start push for Drew and at the time it seemed like he was being elevated, particularly considering he was mixing it up with Daniel Bryan.
But it seems like WWE creative either got bored or lost faith in Drew and he now seems to be relegated to being simply comedy fodder for R-Truth. This is nowhere near the best use of someone with the talent of Gulak and he should be having cracking match week after week, either on the main roster or on the black and gold brand.
