10 Wrestlers That Became Stars In ONE SECOND

7. Wardlow (AEW Dynamite, September 9th 2020)

At All Out 2020, MJF was out-thought and out-fought by then-World Champion Jon Moxley in a contest that was something of a quiet triumph.

Literally so - the contest took place with Daily's Place still echoing the silence of the pandemic and at the end of a pay-per-view that had been received as one of the company's worst. Unbothered by the climate of the evening's prior calamities, the two paid off the Challenger's cynical belief that Moxley couldn't be a "proper" pro wrestler and made him eat a plateful of his own sh*t by using the banned Paradigm Shift to get the win after Wardlow provided inadvertent distraction misplacing his throw of the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

The big man looked none too pleased with his mistake at the pay-per-view, but a new wrinkle existed between the pair days later when MJF revealed that he paid Wardlow, not Tony Khan. An enraged Friedman had screamed at the 'Wardog' for his mistake and looked set to have his head dislodged from his body as a result until the financial reveal.

It was the first look into the reality of the relationship, and of its inevitable demise.
