10 Wrestlers That Could Be Kurt Angle's Mystery Feud

6. William Regal

WWE

The best General Manager in the entire WWE system seems to be a thoroughly bloody nice bloke in 2017, but the use of one of his old favourite terms during the SMS diatribe hurled at Angle may have been an indication of his return to the dark side.

Unconvincingly reading the message out loud for the benefit of...well, everybody but himself, Angle said the bully accused him of 'besmirching his status as an Olympic Gold Medallist', a turn of phrase Regal was very fond of during his time as WWE's commissioner during the early 2000s.

It would be a huge leap back into the ring for William, who wrestled his last televised match nearly four years ago. It could also simply be a power play in an effort to have Kurt removed from one of the company's top roles in order for him to sidle back into a main roster authoritative role for the first time since a 2008 Wellness Violation cost him his Raw General Manager.

Regal is perhaps too changed a man in 2017, though. As on-screen doyen of NXT and highly respected trainer at the vaunted Performance Centre, his days of such treachery may be behind him. That's not to say one of his students couldn't have picked up some of his dirtiest tricks...
