10 Wrestlers That Fell Off HARD

2. Austin Aries

Austin Aries is a fine example that being considered one of the best wrestlers on the planet won't last forever. This man was an absolute indie darling and a hardcore fan's dream, but now he's a guy AEW won't even consider signing up. Think about that!

Aries rose to prominence thanks to his time in ROH and eventually TNA, where he impressed as a stellar storyteller and in-ring technician. He was a bonafide star with multiple World Title reigns, and after his NXT debut, fans believed things were poised to get even better. Oh, how wrong they were.

His time in WWE was full of nothing, with lackluster painted over all his endeavors. He couldn't even capture the Cruiserweight Title, which really says it all. Things got even worse from there, as after his release, he would eventually become a ghost in the industry.

Becoming The Belt Collector on the indies/Impact wasn't enough to keep him relevant, as his notoriously difficult-to-work-with attitude eventually made all his prospects dry up. This came to a head after the infamous Bound for Glory 2018 "No Sell" incident, where he got up and walked out directly after the finish.

Nowadays, you'll be lucky to see him working for any promotion with even a twinge of clout.
