Kenny King & Rhett Titus as The All Night Express won the Ring of Honor World Tag Team titles from Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin at Best in the World 2012: Hostage Crisis. Less than a month later, Ring of Honor stripped King and Titus of the belts after a contract clash between the company and King.

King had shown up on TNA Impact, competing in their X-Division Championship tournament, which ROH considered an unacceptable "breach of his verbal agreement" and cut ties with him and subsequently vacated the ROH Tag titles.

King said on the situation:-

"I left because there was a bigger opportunity. I also left because I had given ROH what I felt was a long enough period of time to convince me to stay and they did a pretty piss poor job of that. Not everyone. Just probably one person in particular. I personally feel like I handled it the best way I could based on what I was looking at."

That person he was referencing being Jim Cornette.

After Jim Cornette was gone from ROH due to backstage outburst, King was welcomed back to ROH in 2015, even winning the tag titles again with Dragon Lee earlier this year.
