10 Wrestlers That The Undertaker Couldn't Get Over

2. The Great Khali

Both Triple H and John Cena tried to get The Great Khali over, but Taker had his shot at him first, and arguably delivered the worst matches of the three with the giant.

The company pushed Khali about as aggressive as you can get right out of the gate. In his 2006 debut he absolutely destroyed Undertaker after a match with Mark Henry, and then did so again in a match at Judgement Day. It was a pretty bold statement on the part of creative. However, the fatal flaw in actually making Khali a bona fide star is that he couldn’t wrestle. At all. He was painfully slow, and incredibly limited in his offense. The company gifted him with a chop as his finisher probably because the odds of him screwing up anything more complicated were comically high.

The two were set to battle in a Punjabi Prison match, but Khali had to pull out of it the day of the show. The showdown was then pushed back to SummerSlam, but WWE decided to do away with that by giving the match away on an episode of SmackDown. It didn’t seem that too many people were upset with that decision. You would think that the company would have learned their lesson at that point, but as mentioned before, Khali was far from done in the main event.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
