10 Wrestlers That WWE Are Failing Right Now

9. Austin Theory

Regression.

That's the word that best sums up Austin Theory's plight now he's been moved back to NXT. On the surface, this is a good spot for the 23 year old - he'll have excellent matches with Bronson Reed and others on the brand, and he could work his way back up the WWE ladder within a year or two.

However, the guy was considered a can't miss prospect in groups with the likes of Seth Rollins, Andrade and Zelina Vega earlier this year. By contrast to those lofty spots, jousting for joy on the NXT midcard is a bit of a drop. It must be hard for Theory to work out exactly what went wrong.

When asked recently, Rollins said "personal reasons" were behind Austin's sabbatical from TV. There were also rumours that he'd been suspended for unknown reasons by WWE, but that was never confirmed. All he can do now is try to catch the eye again.
