10 Wrestlers The Undertaker Should Have Faced At WrestleMania

2. WrestleMania XX - Goldberg

When Goldberg finally turned up in the WWE people instinctively began booking fantasy matches. We got a few of them in the shape of Goldberg versus The Rock and Goldberg versus Triple H, but there were still many more fresh matches for Goldberg to have in the company. One of the biggest dream matches for fans was Goldberg versus The Undertaker. Two of the biggest stars of the 90s going head-to-head. It was the type of match that fans wanted to see during the Invasion but didn't end up getting. WrestleMania XX would have been the perfect time to do the match. The Undertaker wrestled Kane (again) on the show. That was a stale match by 2004 and it's amazing to think that they would return to it again in 2010. Although he ditched the American Badass/Big Evil gimmick that he'd been using since 2000 and came back as the old-school Undertaker, the match was a washout. Goldberg wrestled Brock Lesnar in a match famous because of the crowd's hostility towards both men. The MSG crowd, aware that both Lesnar and Goldberg were wresting their last matches for the company, immediately turned on them and bombarded them with chants of 'this match sucks' and 'boring'. Lesnar and Goldberg were understandably miffed. The Dead Man versus 'Da Man' would have been an incredible spectacle and the story pretty much writes itself: Goldberg, as the man who went 173 matches without tasting defeat in WCW, could argue the merits of 'Taker's famous 'Mania streak. As for the match itself, it certainly would have been an interesting spectacle.
