10 Wrestlers Triple H Couldn't Get Over

4. Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash did well for himself as WWF Champion as Diesel, and then he was crazy over as himself in WCW, but his 2002 WWE homecoming was pretty lackluster.

After the nWo flamed out, and Nash healed from a quadriceps injury, he returned to the company, and soon began feuding with his real life good pal Triple H. Now, at this point in Nash’s career, he was far less mobile than a few years before (and he was never that mobile to begin with), and it just felt like a rerun of what we’d seen in prior years. Fans wanted an increase of Rob Van Dam and Booker T in the main events, and a decrease of Nash.

Still, Hunter and Big Daddy Cool began a feud that felt like it simply would not end. They fought in a six man match at Backlash, then a singles match at Judgment Day and then a finale at Hell in a Cell. It was perhaps the most uninteresting Cell match to that point, even though it turned out better than expected.

Somehow, nine years later Nash returned to the company once again to battle his friend in a ladder match. It seemed like one of WWE’s most reckless ideas ever. Despite both men being legends in their own right, the fans still did not care to see them fight one another. Hopefully, that’s the last we’ve seen of them in a ring wrestling each other.

Perhaps they're due for another round by now, though.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
