10 Wrestlers Triple H Will Make Champion
5. Kevin Owens
The Kevin Owens and Ezekiel feud has been downright bizarre and, for many, a reason to tune in WWE to see what happens next. An absolutely nuts story that seems to be poking fun at cheap wrestling nonsense that, even if you hated it, you couldn’t help but watch to see Owens' great portrayal as the incredulous voice of reason.
But Kevin Owens shouldn’t need to make chicken s**t into chicken salad, even though he’s proved time and time again that he can. When he’s at the top of his game he’s one of the absolute best characters the company has, due to the man’s ability to speak, improvise and come across as a legitimate threat.
We need the Owens that debuted on the main roster by dropping John Cena with a pop-up powerbomb and both outside and inside the ring Triple H can be the man to get him back there.
Not only did Trips book Owens as a badass in NXT, snatching the title away from his friend Sami Zayn in his first couple of months on the brand, but when the Canadian superstar won his first Universal Championship it was all done via interference from the Game. There’s an intangible link there and if the company continues to go the traditional route of having its authority figures on-screen, it would be silly not to tie these characters together again.
