Gregory Helms, Shane Helms, The Hurricane, whatever you want to call him, there is no denying that he is such a delightful slice of the pro wrestling pie. Helms has been a part of the industry for three decades now and garnered a tonne of success in WWE with the goofy superhero gimmick, The Hurricane. Many other performers would have buckled under the weight of that character;s silliness, but Helms thrived on it and became a fan favourite.

However, he wasn't just limited to this role as Helms also found significant success as a heel in the Cruiserweight division, still holding the record for the longest reign from that now-defunct Championship. Nowadays, he works backstage as a producer for WWE and makes sporadic appearances under The Hurricane gimmick in WWE and other promotions.

The likelihood of Helms being allowed to take on a more extensive wrestling schedule is slim, but seeing him crossover to the nostalgic company would be a thrill. It could be nice to see a reversion back to his Cruiserweight days, taking on a more grounded persona, as his gimmick often overshadowed his dependable in-ring work.

The National Wrestling Alliance would be a great place to show that he's more than just The Hurricane.
