10 Wrestlers We’d Love To See In The NWA

2. Silas Young

Of all the gimmicks discussed in this list, Silas Young easily feels like the most appropriate for NWA. This Ring of Honor Veteran has been a less appreciated part of pro wrestling for the better half of two decades now and has gained a lot of critical praise for his "Last Real Man" gimmick.

There's a roughness to Young that works perfectly, as he plays up to the idea of classic ideals of masculinity, being overly aggressive, smoking heaps of tobacco and sporting a moustache that would make Ron Swanson blush. This gimmick would blend so well with NWA, as it appeals to traditional wrestling archetypes, which the company focuses on.

Besides his persona, Young is a great in-ring performer, with a viciousness to him that often makes his matches tough to watch, some great storytelling abilities and a flawless heel presence that has followed his entire ROH career.

Although he seems like a perfect candidate for The National Wrestling Alliance, it's uncertain as to whether he'd ever step away from ROH, as it's been his home since 2007, and he's found a substantial degree of success there. Still, if he ever wanted to broadening his horizons, then this would be the right place to go.
