10 Wrestlers We’d Love To See In The NWA
1. Bobby Roode
NWA may have built its brand around Nick Aldis, but in another lifetime, it easily could have been Bobby Roode who took the crown. When it comes to the best names in the world right now who carry the ideals of old school wrestling, there aren't many who can outdo Roode.
This decorated former TNA star almost feels like he was born into the wrong generation, as his storytelling abilities, flashy personality and classic ring general style would have made him a star in the territories. Seeing as The National Wrestling Alliance is by design a call back to those simpler times, how could Roode not fit in there?
Of course, he is contracted to WWE right now and seems to have a solid footing there. But, despite that, he hasn't achieved the main event success that fans know he's capable of. Plus, the current state of sudden releases means almost every star is on the chopping block, meaning this transition wouldn't be entirely unexpected.
No fans want to see Roode leave the company that's probably paying him handsomely, but the prospect of him kicking up a storm in a promotion that seems tailor-made for him is undeniably mouth-watering.
