10 Wrestlers We're Most Thankful For In 2018

Speaking of wrestlers with absurdly high hit ratios, Zack Sabre Jr. is the kind of guy who consistently delivers outstanding in-ring battles with the greatest of ease, no matter the setting or situation.

This submission magician is currently in the midst of a career-best year between the ropes. A fruitful NJPW run has yielded a big New Japan Cup win, another strong G1 Climax, and countless great matches with the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito, Kota Ibushi, and many more. But ZSJ doesn't need the Lion Mark's grand stage to knock it out of the park. April saw him wrestle the relatively unknown A-Kid for Spain's White Wolf Wrestling, decked out in what looks like his five-a-side kit, before a crowd that can't amount to more than a couple of hundred, and it's still one of the best matches we've seen all year.

Sabre is a technical wizard. He's the kind of guy who knows counters to counters to counters, and works with such effortless fluidity that it almost feels like he was born this good. His very existence is conclusive proof that you don't need to fly around taking insane neck bumps to put on a first-class match in 2018.
