There was a chance Daniel Bryan would never wrestle again at the start of 2018, so deep-rooted were his concussion issues, and even if he did, it probably wouldn't be for WWE. 11 months later, the former SmackDown General Manager is on top of the world as WWE Champion. He has absolutely soared since re-signing at the end of summer, and after storming back onto the active roster at WrestleMania 34, he's currently starring as SD's leading heel, putting on good-to-great matches seemingly every other week. Long may it continue.

Bryan's comeback was extremely emotional, and it is both comforting and a relief to have him back on our screens, doing what he loves every single week. More importantly, it's just great to know he's okay. The man took a number of sick apron bumps on his very first night back, and after surviving Brock Lesnar's stiffness at Survivor Series, his body is holding together fine.

Daniel remains one of the most powerful and effective performers around. He's a beacon of light when everything else seems sh*t, and with his heel turn already delivering the goods, his current possibilities are endless.
