10 Wrestlers We're Most Thankful For In 2018

2. Drew McIntyre

The Roman Reigns situation is horrendous. This almost goes without saying, but we wish him all the best in his recovery from leukaemia, and hope to see him back on our TV screens before long, fighting fit as one of WWE's top stars.

From his employer's standpoint, his absence leaves them with a colossal booking black hole, and it's a problem they must solve in 2019, if not before: who becomes 'The Guy?'.

Some would have Braun Strowman in this spot, but the big man's attributes and rough edges mean he's probably better suited to an Undertaker-esque role. Seth Rollins is another popular choice. He's had an excellent 2018, and does make sense for the position, but if there's a stronger candidate than 'The Kingslayer' and 'Monster Among Men,' it's a guy WWE have been grooming for a main event push from the moment he was called up.

Drew McIntyre is the total package. He's a great talker with a marketable look, someone who can go toe-to-toe with the very best between the ropes, and he already carries himself like a major superstar. Vince McMahon almost certainly loves him, and it won't be long before his time finally comes.
