10 Wrestlers We're Most Thankful For In 2020

4. Jon Moxley

AEW

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is currently in the midst of a special run that should be embraced by all.

Moxley's is the kind of run that every wrestler dreams of having upon leaving WWE. He has silenced his every doubter by continually delivering at a high level inside the ring, on the microphone, and as a genuine ratings draw, pulling positive quarter-hour numbers almost every time out. Far removed from the wacky rodeo clown he played in Stamford, he has become a complete, badass professional wrestler.

A fighting champion who has competed in some of AEW's ugliest and most attritional matches, Moxley is also an elite talker who cuts an effortless, incendiary promo every single week, whether he is scorching his competition or adding emotional heft to storylines with guys like Eddie Kingston. A promo is supposed to promote something, and few are better at selling a match or storyline than Mox.

AEW's roster isn't short of aspirational figures. Mox, like Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks, represents possibilities. Who can't see hope in the guy who told his *sshole boss to shove it, quit a job that made him miserable, and found a new way to thrive on his own terms?
