10 Wrestlers We're Most Thankful For In 2020

3. Bayley & Sasha Banks

A cheat entry? Perhaps, but Bayley and Sasha Banks have spent so much of 2020 tethered to each other that it's difficult to separate them on a list such as this. Each is equally complimentary to the modern WWE product, so here they are, together.

Though well-plotted and crafted from start to finish, the Banks/Bayley storyline was pushed over the top by the duo utilise the full extent of their agency (and sometimes, beyond) to pepper it with extra detail. A sly, envious glance at a championship belt here, a brief scowl there: these things made all the difference, rewarding those paying extra attention whenever they showed up on Raw or SmackDown. In an era where WWE themselves rarely go out of their way to repay such investment, Bayley and Banks' efforts were much appreciated.

The turn was inevitable, of course, but it was well-executed and led to one of the better Hell In A Cell matches of the modern era. Creative spots and weapon use and an uncurrent of genuine, believable hatred elevated it above typical PG fodder, and while Bayley was felled in her immediate rematch, we'll likely see more from these two before the rivalry is truly considered over.

If it ever is.
