Hulk Hogan doesn't lay down for anybody, brother!

Not actual words from the mouth of Hogan, but the legend of Hulkamania wasn't built on the back of a cavalcade of losses, that's for sure. Between 1990 and the end of '95, Hogan lost a total of eight (8) TV or pay-per-view matches, many of which were dropped via count-out or disqualification. If the focus is on wrestlers who won on their way out of a company, Hulk Hogan is never going to be far away.

Despite dropping the WWF Championship to Yokozuna before moving to WCW, Hogan still managed to reel off eight victories over the big man on house shows before officially jumping ship. Hogan's first match in WCW? A victory over Ric Flair at Bash at the Beach '94, winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in the process.

Hogan returned to WWE in 2002 and his last match in the company came in 2006. The victim? Randy Orton, in singles competition at SummerSlam that year. Hulk and Vince McMahon soon fell out once again and Hogan departed for Memphis Wrestling, leaving with a victory in his back pocket.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
