10 Wrestlers Who Actually WON On The Way Out

By the time WrestleMania 31 came around, everyone and their dog knew that AJ Lee was on her way out of professional wrestling. Why wouldn't she want out? The former three-time WWE Divas Champion had carried the division on her back for years at this point, and that same company had treated her husband like a piece of meat. Heck, it was somewhat surprising that AJ was still with WWE by the time big show at Levi's Stadium came around at the end of March in 2015.

At the Showcase of the Immortals, AJ teamed with Paige to take on the dastardly Bella Twins, the longtime rivals putting their differences aside to vanquish the villainous sisters. It wasn't a WrestleMania match for the ages but it was more than adequate. More importantly, it provided AJ Lee with a much-deserved send-off in front of more than 70,000 fans from all over the world.

Of course, WrestleMania 31 wasn't AJ's last match. That took place the night next on RAW, where she teamed with Paige once more (and Naomi) to battle the Bellas and Natalya. The babyface trio picked up the win after Naomi hit Nikki with the Rear View (an arse to the face, for the record). AJ Lee's last competitive act in a WWE ring? Getting thrown out by Brie Bella, for what it is worth.

Still, a win is a win is a win.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
