Tyson Kidd and Cesaro had already become one of WWE's finest tag-teams when the former landed horribly whilst taking Samoa Joe's Muscle Buster during a dark match in June 2015. The team were immediately put on ice as the future of Kidd's career looked bleak; a combo of nasty neck and spinal injuries mean he may never wrestle again.

Things could have been worse for the former WWE Tag Champion too. The Wrestling Observer noted that most who suffer the same combination of injuries as Tyson did end up quadriplegic. Kidd himself tweeted out that only 5% of people suffering the injury survive. It's a depressing thought, but Tyson Kidd could easily have died mid-ring.

It's no coincidence that Joe rarely (if at all) uses the Muscle Buster nowadays. That move requires the person taking it to land on the back of their neck, and the danger is very real they'll slip and smash their head off the canvas.

Kidd got lucky, as strange as that sounds.
