10 Wrestlers Who Altered Their Body For Their Gimmick

2. Freddie Blassie (Teeth)

'Classy' Freddie Blassie was the heel's heel, a bastard coated bastard with bastard filling. The Missourian was such a rotter that he often incited near-riots; he was stabbed more than a dozen times over his career, had acid thrown in his face, and even had the Last Rites read to him on two occasions.

Whilst working in Japan opposite Rikidozan, Blassie left a number of his spectators traumatised. His trademark technique was to file down his teeth to a fine point, and then bite the foreheads of his opponents so they'd draw blood. When Japanese viewers saw their hero Rikidozan awash with the red stuff, a handful supposedly suffered heart attacks. Some reportedly even died. Killing fans: that's true heel work.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
