10 Wrestlers Who Are DYING For Something New
8. The Unholy Union
The above picture already feels like a bittersweet memory.
Watching the Unholy Union of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn capture the Women's Tag Team Championships was an unexpected highlight of this year's Clash of the Castle, but almost everything that's happened to the duo since then has been a firm reminder of the champions' lowly place in the WWE pecking order. The Unholy Union's problems are two-fold - they get less TV time than most referees, and what little time they do get is mostly used to make them look like absolute chumps.
The nadir arrived during a recent Smackdown, when they were booked to deliver a botched ambush to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill that saw the supposed champions effortlessly outclassed by their rivals.
Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn are both talented wrestlers - particularly the former, whose championship run in NXT UK provided one of the few highlights of the ill-fated promotion - but WWE have done almost nothing to elevate them in the eyes of their audience. Their new alliance with Blair Davenport has potential - and this writer wants nothing more than for it to be a roaring success - but given how badly WWE has fumbled its female factions on RAW, it's hard to see Blair's arrival as little more than a single thumb plugged into a dam full of cracks.
