10 Wrestlers Who Are In Da Wrong Company

7. Dakota Kai

Is Dakota Kai's online outreach to WWE going to be the making or breaking of her for the market leader?

Over the last several years within WWE - and particularly the latter years of black-and-gold NXT - Kai has had moments of magic but inconsistent booking and limited opportunities have frequently left her feeling massively underutilised. A return from injury this year has laid this bare, with performances almost defiantly great in defeat of listless booking and matchmaking for Damage CTRL since Bayley left the group ahead of WrestleMania 40. Interestingly, the opposition is an option again.

AEW is focussing on wrestling-driven storytelling and character development in its women's division for maybe the first time in its history. Her technical skill and fiery persona would seamlessly integrate into AEW’s diverse roster of female talents.

The company's commitment to elevating the division is the ideal environment for Kai to not only shine but also to help elevate other talents wanting to further raise the bar. There's a mile-long queue of wrestlers she could work show-stealers with. Already pivotal to starting one revolution in the industry, she's the perfect fit for sitting on the cusp of another.
