10 Wrestlers Who Are The Most Overrated At Precisely One Thing

1. The Miz: Being Underrated

The Miz enjoys quite the narrative, one that is helped enormously by the fact that he did something admirable once upon a time: he withstood the sociopathic SmackDown locker room of the 2000s, evolved into a starring role with a commendable work ethic, and generally "won at life" and was deserving of the victory.

All of these things are true, but the Miz remains a mechanically rotten pro wrestler who has sunk several storylines and, ultimately, was lucky to boast charisma and show a devout loyalty to "the WWE" during an era (the early 2010s) in which any semblance of star power was prized as something more than it was because the wider landscape was so polluted with the blandest of bland crap.

The Miz this year had the worst match Cody has worked since his OVW days. The Miz's feud with Dexter Lumis is wretched. His chair shots are Hulk Hogan-level bad. His character is beyond stale. He was dragged to one very good bout all year by a man working only his second ever match. In that scenario, the performer who has worked over 2,000 matches should not be the broomstick.

Several of those 2,000 matches were pretty good, some even great, but has the Miz ever wrestled a good match against somebody who isn't great?

This sh*t with the Miz verges on the parasocial; while it's good for him that his wife is 10, how does that help anybody, who isn't a freak, get through his matches?

"He can't properly apply the finish he's executed or at least attempted for over a decade, but he seems happy. Therefore, I am sports entertained."

What?
