10 Wrestlers Who Are Too Crazy For Their Own Good
3. Necro Butcher
In the early to mid-2000s, Necro Butcher’s name was synonymous with hardcore wrestling. Sounding like a grindcore band, you heard the stories of his antics and legit fights with wrestlers like Justice Pain. Necro wrestled like a man who felt no pain, and it was exciting.
And what truly made Necro stand out, is that he didn’t only do it in Combat Zone Wrestling and other deathmatch promotions. With the iconic Ring of Honor vs. CZW feud, Necro made it to the wrestling heavy ROH and got his chance to shine there. As part of The Age Of The Fall, Butcher brought hardcore to that company and flourished while doing so.
Throw in his iconic brawls with Samoa Joe and his appearance in The Wrestler and Butcher stood out above a lot of hardcore wrestlers. He was the man who was able to deliver, even when away from the light tubes and glass of his home turf. Charging around the ring, shoeless, he was a terrifying presence and left more than one audience member unsure of what they’d just seen.
