Daniel Bryan is the indie darling that could and did, giving it his all whether it was in high school gyms or headlining WrestleMania XXX.

He’s an environmentalist, vegetarian, animal lover and leads a straight edge life. If you tuned into SmackDown in early 2019 you’d know this as he preached it weekly in his eco warrior heel gimmick. He got away with a lot in that gimmick too, interrupting Christmas holiday segments to rant about society not thinking deeply enough and how it leads to obsessively buying WWE merchandise. He also stood face to face with Vince McMahon, ripping into him for "putting profits over both the people and the planet" and creating economic/environmental debts that fans happily don’t pay attention to.

Danielson has stated in his autobiography that he does not drink due to his father's past as an alcoholic. A bit problematic given his wife and her sister (The Bella Twins) have their own wine ‘Belle Radici’. Nikki’s claimed on Total Divas episodes that Daniel doesn't drink and he judges Brie when she does. If you see Daniel drinking wine with his wife on the show, know it’s non-alcoholic wine in his glass.
