10 Wrestlers Who Barely Sold Finishing Moves
8. The Ultimate Warrior Pops Back Up From A Pedigree
Despite it now sitting pretty as one of the most protected moves in all of professional wrestling history, there was a time when Triple H's beloved Pedigree didn't get the job done quite as much as it does today.
Way back in 1996, long before he was playing 'The Game', Hunter Hearst Helmsley was involved in a one-on-one match with a titan of the industry in The Ultimate Warrior. Yet, moments into their WrestleMania XII collision, a finisher which would later earn Trips countless World Championships and the status of WWE icon in his own right didn't exactly produce the victory he was expecting.
Far from it, in fact. Warrior took the now-legendary Pedigree whilst still wearing his entrance gear and popped straight back onto his feet.
This understandably shocked the hell out of the future WWE Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development and the thousands in attendance all similarly lost their minds when Warrior shook off the finisher seconds after receiving it.
After proceeding to no-sell the rest of the young 'King of King's offence, Warrior quickly sealed the win in just under two minutes, thoroughly squashing the villainous up-and-comer in the process.
He obviously did quite well for himself in the end, but for a moment there it honestly looked like Triple H and his untouchable Pedigree had been buried before he'd even had a chance to get started.
