10 Wrestlers Who Beat Goldberg

With the sole exception of Goldberg, Booker T was probably the biggest homegrown star to come out of WCW by the time of its collapse in 2001 - so it seems appropriate that he should be one of the only men to beat him in singles competition.

This shocking result came on the 24 July episode of Nitro in 2000, where the duo fought two matches, with the first of them ending in favour of the former NFL star after World Heavyweight Champion Booker had a towel thrown in on his behalf (only, for some reason, the title didn't change hands).

This being a wholly unsatisfying note to end on (not that this has ever stopped WCW in the past), they fought another match on the same night, and this time Booker sealed a referee-assisted win after hitting a Book End.

It was a crying shame, really, that these two never had the opportunity to share a proper pay-per-view series for the Big Gold Belt. They showed glimpses of great chemistry in the ring, but the handful of occasions they met were all too brief.
