7. American Alpha

Widely-tipped to hit the main roster after losing their NXT Tag Team Titles to The Revival, Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are all-set to make an immediate splash in SmackDown’s tag scene. They’re young, exciting, and brimming with positive energy and undeniable chemistry. It took them a matter of weeks to win over the Full Sail crowd, and it’s hard to imagine them not repeating this success on the main roster.

Jordan and Gable were one of NXT’s hottest tickets, and aside from Enzo & Big Cass, they might be the most inherently likeable tag team in WWE today. As with the Women’s division, WWE’s tag teams have been divided and thrust in opposite directions, and nobody looks set to benefit more than American Alpha.

In fact, you could argue that they’re already the blue brand’s top tag team. The Ascension, Breezango and The Vaudevillains look unlikely to escape the lower card any time soon, and while The Usos have a couple of title reigns to their name, it’s been months since they contributed anything of meaning. The injured Luke Harper may yet sign for SmackDown and reignite his partnership with Erick Rowan, but for now, American Alpha look very much like the division’s leading lights.

Jordan and Gable are very well-placed to make an immediate impact. The Tag Team Championships might be on Raw, but the sky's the limit for these two.
