10 Wrestlers Who Blamed Themselves For Failing In WWE

Professional wrestling is lucky to have a man like Roman Reigns in it.

'The Big Dog' never comes off as anything other than an earnestly great guy behind the scenes and conducts himself like a true professional, never speaking out of turn. Knowing that very little of his onscreen failings have anything to do with him enhances this. It isn't his fault that Vince McMahon and co. pushed him way over his head as an ace-like figure against the fans' wishes, though he'll never be the type to shred the company's booking shortcomings either.

Reigns' WrestleMania 33 main event with The Undertaker was an awkward, clunky bout met with brutal reactions online and in the building. Many pointed to 'The Deadman's' advancing years as the reason for this - and, in fairness, this was justified by 'Taker's performance - but not Reigns, who took responsibility in an April 2018 interview with CBS Sports' In This Corner.

"It just felt heavy and so much more emotional than I was ready for it to be, so I think that was the hardest thing," he said. "Maybe I wasn't good enough or maybe I could have been better. I always hold The Undertaker in such high regard that I feel I could have done better."
