There was a newfound power to Roman Reigns when he crashed back into view at SummerSlam 2020 to debut his brand new 'Tribal Chief'/'Head Of The Table' character. Gone were the wobbly, unconvincing babyface tropes of old. They were replaced by a swaggering majesty that has sustained ever since.

Roman was more confident than ever, even off-camera. During a January 2021 interview with FOX Sports, the 'Chief' said he'd been watching WWE's product during time away mid-pandemic and wasn't impressed. Not mincing his words, Reigns watched ThunderDome episodes of Raw and SmackDown then said: "Man, this is trash".

Trash!

Paul Heyman later revealed how dissatisfied Roman was with his character's direction before WWE was forced to shut itself away in the Performance Center due to COVID in March 2020. When watching that output from home, Reigns shook his head. It'd be one thing to admit that, but to outright call WWE programming "trash" mere months after returning? That's ballsy stuff.
