10 Wrestlers Who Committed Disturbing Crimes

8. 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka - Manslaughter

Stone Cold Arrested
WWE/Daily News

An inarguable WWE Hall of Famer, Jimmy Snuka is one of the pillars upon which Vince McMahon erected his empire in the early 1980s.

Perhaps this is why when Snuka's girlfriend Nancy Argentino was killed in his hotel room in May 1983, the only summons Superfly received was to face Don Muraco at Madison Square Garden.

The coroner's report stated that Argentino had died of 'traumatic brain injuries consistent with a moving head striking a stationary object'.

The autopsy also reported more than two dozen cuts and bruises to her body, from her head down to her feet.

Jimmy Snuka was the sole suspect - but not one charge was pressed against him.

While the Argentino family won a civil suit against Snuka for their daughter's death, Snuka claimed financial inability to pay the damages, this despite him wrestling for the WWF for the next seven years.

The case would remain open for 32 long years, before it was finally turned over to a grand jury in 2014.

72-year-old Snuka was charged with first degree murder in 2015. However, his attorney successfully convinced the presiding judge of their client's diminished mental capacity, and the charges were ultimately dismissed in 2017.

Jimmy Snuka died 13 days later.
