10 Wrestlers Who Could Be AEW's Joker In Dynamite's Casino Ladder Match
4. Lio Rush
The surprise Lio Rush vignette on last week's Dynamite broadcast brought with it legitimate excitement.
The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion had previously been the Joker in Double Or Nothing's Casino Battle Royale, entering to a seismic Daily's Place reception. Though he was unceremoniously dumped from the match by Matt Hardy, Rush impressed in his AEW maiden voyage to such an extent that Tony Khan was keen to sign him until Rush announced his retirement.
A professional wrestler? Retiring? Lol, not really.
The Man Of The Hour had some New Japan commitments to fulfil, so he was never really retired, and now he's back full-time, with a graphic confirming his official signing to AEW. A return appearance, however, was not confirmed last week, hence why a second run as the Joker would work.
If you've seen any of his work on the indies prior to signing with WWE, then you'll be aware of Lio's impeccable body of work when surrounded by ladders. His CZW battle with Joey Janela immediately springs to mind. It was this eclectic battle with some of the craziest, mind-blowing spots you'd ever witnessed. A similar occurrence would go down in the Casino Ladder match should he be included, though don't expect him to jump from rafters of Philadelphia's Liacouras Center.
