10 Wrestlers Who Could Be AEW's Joker In Dynamite's Casino Ladder Match
2. Buddy Matthews
Buddy Matthews, the former Buddy Murphy, was already in decent physical condition when his WWE career concluded in June, but since then, he's gotten seriously jacked. Look at this absolute beefcake.
Though varying reports have surfaced regarding the Aussie to AEW - the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer noted in July how AEW were keen to bring him in, before saying they'd passed on him in September - he's teased his own involvement in the match.
In a now-deleted tweet, the former Best Kept Secret simply posted a picture of a joker card.
Though this isn't official confirmation of Buddy as the Joker, it is a tremendous tease. AEW traditionally relishes in these teases. That the tweet has since been deleted increases the likeliness that he is indeed the match's seventh entrant. Otherwise, it seems like a total waste.
Like many other free agents on this list, Buddy naturally fits the structure of All Elite Wrestling. He was a banger machine in WWE - Mustafa Ali, Aleister Black, Tony Nese, etc - but found himself without the chance of a legitimate push. He was hardly going to be the winner of that Seth Rollins feud.
As the Joker, though, it could either be a neat one-off moment or it could be the beginning of a blossoming relationship between the two parties. Matthews brings an abundance to this table.
