10 Wrestlers Who Could Be The Surprise Entrant In AEW Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match

9. Matt Rehwoldt

Formerly known as Aiden English, Matt Rehwoldt has wrestled only twice since departing WWE in April 2020, appearing on two Zelo Pro Wrestling cards. Even then, he hadn't wrestled for WWE in a full year, last losing to Kassius Ohno in April 2019 over WrestleMania weekend.

Of all the talent WWE let go on the infamous Black Wednesday, you'd have expected English to be one of the more successful names. Instead, he's done f*ck all.

He has the character, presuming he still wants to use his legitimate background in opera as part of his wrestling guise, and he's not too bad between the ropes, either. Again, like Pineapple Pete, he's a recognisable name, having been on the WWE payroll from 2012 until 2020.

Furthermore, it's not just wrestling Rehwoldt has mastered. His last few months in the company were spent commentating, primarily on 205 Live. At first, the move was bizarre, but as time went on, it proved to be a decent transition for the former Vaudevillians man. It's a skill he can bring to All Elite Wrestling, too.

You've also got the previous association with Miro, if you really want to bring that into play; either way, All Elite seems like solid place for Rehwoldt to make his mark once more.
