10 Wrestlers Who Could Be The Surprise Entrant In AEW Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match

4. Davey Boy Smith Jr.

The rumours of Davey Boy Smith Jr. returning to WWE are well and truly alive. DBS confirmed these talks himself, with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer stating that NXT UK was the most likely place for 'The British Bulldog's' son to end up.

He's Canadian, for f*ck sake.

Realistically, the only reason for Davey to even return to WWE would be to formally induct his father into the Hall of Fame. He doesn't need to stick around, especially if they're going to relegate him to NXT UK after he's made himself a noteworthy star in MLW and New Japan.

When you think about it, there's actually a New Japan story in the match, should Smith Jr. be the last man. His former Killer Elite Squad pal Lance Archer has been confirmed as a participant. The two were Aces of the New Japan heavyweight tag division for a few years, being three-time IWGP Tag Team Champions.

Think about that for a minute. Think about what the KES could do in AEW's already-stacked doubles division, and then think about what Davey Boy Smith Jr. could do in NXT UK. Which would you rather have?

It seems unlikely compared to the other entries, but regardless, Davey would make for a welcomed addition.
