Let's all stop and realize that Kofi Kingston has appeared in Money In The Bank, The Elimination Chamber and wrestled Brock Lesnar in the same year. The excellence of The New Day as a heel stable isn't lost on someone in creative, and that's wonderful. Kofi Kingston's also closing in on a decade in WWE, and possibly is FINALLY ready to be a superstar deserving of something more. The idea of The New Day as a stable feuding with John Cena is worthwhile. The group actually works best at-present as a trio, Xavier Woods the great talker who lacks something insofar as being able to credibly get heat on a babyface as a wrestler. Big E, the non talker with a great look whose unique charisma probably allows him to work best in a tag team at present as his character lacks the ability to organically connect with the WWE Universe. But Kofi's the one who has the history with the WWE Universe, the Royal Rumble near-eliminations, the matches with Randy Orton, and now a developing toughness that could make him ready for a deeper look. Beating Cena could allow that to occur.
