During Rusev's recovery from injury, his turn as a hapless lothario has been entertaining in a way that was absolutely necessary for diversifying his one-note heel persona. Rusev going from being an anti-American terror to being a liar and jerk has been wonderful, and positions him well to have another gear to hit as a performer once he returns to the active roster. Rusev attacking John Cena upon his return and beating him would give his character the killer instinct to make his re-formed persona wholly entertaining. Cena's matches against Rusev prior to his injury were great. The ones with Rusev once he returns have the potential of being even better.
