10 Wrestlers Who Could Leave AEW In 2022

9. Mike Sydal

Sydal Brothers
AEW

Mike Sydal hasn't wrestled on AEW television since the 11 August episode of Dynamite, on which he and brother Matt teamed with Dante Martin to face The Elite. Since then, he has been pulled from a tag team match scheduled for Rampage on 29 October after picking up an injury, leaving Matt to continue as a singles act.

Updates on Mike's AEW status have been few and far between since then. He still promotes company content on Twitter (between Bernie Sanders retweets), but he hasn't wrestled anywhere since the Jericho Cruise in October.

And on top of all this, Mike isn't currently listed on AEW's official roster page.

While unlikely to ever be pushed to a championship level, the Sydals played an important role as a good, experienced babyface tandem to play jobbers to the stars for rising heel units en route to the top. This is similar to how Matt has been booked as a solo wrestler. AEW would lose that should Mike leave the company, having debuted in February 2021.
