10 Wrestlers Who Could Win Their First World Title In 2021

9. Sonya Deville

Big E WWE Champion

Until things went horribly sour just ahead of SummerSlam, Sonya Deville was well on her way to being the most improved wrestler in WWE for 2020. It took a while for her blood feud with Mandy Rose to kick-off but Sonya shined when it did, delivering some of the best promos in the company and surprising all and sundry with her development. The idiocy and criminality of humanity could not have come at a worse time.

Nobody knows when Sonya Deville will return to WWE, or even if she ever will. The trial of her stalker is likely to last well into the summer of 2021, so who knows what the future holds for Deville. Here's hoping she is able to find some sort of normality in her life, sooner rather than later.

If she does return, Deville has all the tools to become a major player on whichever brand she finds herself on. A potential RAW or SmackDown Women's Champion? There is absolutely no reason whatsoever why Sonya Deville can't reach those heights. Better yet, have Mandy Rose win a maiden world title only to have Sonya return and take her rightful place at the head of the table.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
