10 Wrestlers Who Couldn’t Hide Their Anger At Bad Creative

3. Becky Lynch Is SEETHING

Nothing meant anything towards the end of Vince McMahon’s run as booker.

The belt swap angle was emblematic of this, but then again, so was everything. The idea that a champion would have to drop their belt because the colour of the strap did not match the branding of the television show was just atrocious. The synthetic corporate fakeness meant more than the concept of achievement.

Becky Lynch was an outspoken critic of WWE before Paul Levesque took over - she was baffled by the Survivor Series brand warfare concept in particular - and was clearly irked at the idea of being made to participate in such an angle. She was already down on the idea, as expressed with a facial expression loaded with sarcasm. Then, frustration mutated into anger when Charlotte Flair - with whom Lynch wasn’t on the best terms - decided to be very awkward.

Lynch, as revealed on an episode of Broken Skull Sessions with Steve Austin, was meant to grab Flair’s belt and “be Becky Two Belts” again for a moment, after which she was meant to duck out of a fight against Charlotte.

Instead, and this was actually quite funny, Flair, much like a small child entering the terrible twos phase, tested the boundaries and dropped the belt. Becky threw the other belt at Flair.

A fight almost broke out backstage after this intensely awkward scene. The characters in this era of WWE were so childish that they almost literally cried over spilt milk.
