2. Big E SHOOTS HARD!!

Now, Big E is a remarkable human being.

Almost supernaturally positive, he was instrumental in making the New Day work within what was at the time an omni-broken WWE system. It was very much a group effort, but after the group almost immediately pivoted to a babyface role to lean in on the fact that fans hated them, Big E’s enthusiasm was so radiant that they pivoted again almost as quickly. Big E was an explosive powerhouse built in the WWE mould, and just had a way of firing you up. Really, that WWE took as long as they did to strap him up with the WWE Championship was promotional malpractice.

At one point, though, Big E felt the same strain of WWE’s awfulness, just like everybody else did. When he was made to recite the line “We’re going to take the shine off the Shining Stars”, he very quickly apologised by hurriedly saying “I didn’t write that” before hitting the New Day’s catchphrase.

“Anger,” thus, is the wrong word - but this is the closest the man has ever come to a feeling that merely orbited the idea of dissatisfaction.

Can you imagine being that writer? The one person to have very mildly annoyed Big E?

That’s almost as difficult to do as Tony Khan getting through a sentence without saying the word “great”.
