10 Wrestlers Who Cracked WWE's Secret Code

3. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens is in a similar boat to former tag team partner Sami Zayn. Re-signing with WWE made all the sense in the world for him not only because he has happy there, but because the environment suits him.

The former Universal Champion is another eternally over wrestler who can take an extended dunk in the booking team's river of sh*t and still come out clean, his popularity never waning. While the writing doesn't always back him up, KO has an ability to elevate material that would burial lesser wrestlers with his wit, charm, and personality. He is continually putting his own spin on whatever script gets handed to him with sharp quips and other dashes of the man behind the act, and while the argument that he should have enjoyed another world title reign by now is solid, Owens doesn't necessarily need one. KO will remain in management and the audience's good graces regardless.

Enjoying a stron relationship with Vince McMahon, who personally negotiated his recent contract extension, KO has built himself a fruitful WWE career. At this stage, it'd be a bigger surprise if he left than stayed at the end of his latest deal.
