ROH favourite turned WWE undercarder Paul London awoke the ire of Vince McMahon when he smiled gleefully during McMahon’s fake death segment in 2007. Having grown increasingly unhappy with his place on the card and treatment behind the scenes, London paid no attention to the directive to act serious that night.

Released in 2008, London has frequently buried WWE in interviews since. The now 39 year old has spoken of hazing, politics, burials and the purported arrogance of McMahon himself who he has blamed for fostering an unpleasant work environment.

Talking on the Pancakes and Powerslams podcast, London said, “At some point in your tenure there, you’re gonna be treated like garbage, absolute garbage. And like less of a human being, like the stuff you wipe off of your shoe that you stepped in by accident. And you’re gonna be treated like that constantly. It’s a constant mental hazing. It’s disgusting.“

Not all publicity is good publicity when running a publicly traded company mostly aimed at the family market these days. London’s very public accusations have painted WWE in an abysmal light for years. Along with going against script for a then important segment for McMahon himself (ultimately cancelled due to the Benoit tragedy occurring soon after), it is safe to assume McMahon is highly unlikely to ever work with London again.
