10 Wrestlers Who Crossed Vince McMahon For Real

9. Brodie Lee

The former Intercontinental Champ and Wyatt Family member showed several moments of promise in WWE before his wrist surgery in 2018. Often repackaged, Harper had never rocked the main event but was a respectable and usually well-received mid card act.

Upon being cleared in February 2019, Harper was not brought back to TV. Harper worked a few live events and a match with Dominik Dijakovic at WrestleMania Axxess but little else. Expressing frustration on Twitter over his lack of work, Harper was pencilled in for an ultimately cancelled feud with Sami Zayn. His request for contract termination was denied and instead extended by six months due to his missed injury time. Fan backlash at Harper’s treatment lead to a brief return to TV before being finally released in December.

Debuting as the long-awaited Exalted One in AEW, Harper returned to his pre-WWE Brodie Lee moniker. Lee reportedly infuriated WWE with a segment mocking McMahon’s many purported eccentricities including his hatred of sneezing.

Between his public outing of WWE’s mistreatment of him regarding his frozen contract and his mockery of them since joining the enemy, it’s safe to say Lee is on McMahon’s dreaded enemies list for the foreseeable future.
