When Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns debuted on WWE's main roster at Survivor Series 2012, they made an immediate impact on the WWE Universe and put the entire locker room on notice. The Shield was here and no-one was safe.

Targeting the imposing Ryback during the Triple Threat main event, the debuting trio cost 'The Big Guy' the big win by giving him a huge triple powerbomb through the announce table. Meanwhile, reigning champ, CM Punk, was able to score the pin on John Cena in the ring, leading fans to believe The Shield were in cahoots with Punk and his manager, Paul Heyman.

While professing this to be untrue, ultimately it turned out to be the case as The Shield regularly helped out Punk in his quest to retain the gold and down his adversaries. As such, the association saw 'The Hounds of Justice' gain a huge amount of exposure in high profile matches, including altercations with The Rock.

Meanwhile, WWE's newest team went on a six month undefeated streak in six-man competition. They also all became champions, with each man walking out of Extreme Rules with gold. While the group would eventually disband in June 2014, all three men have since gone on to become WWE Champion and have all held prominent positions on TV ever since their arrival.
